Boarding for a Wide Variety of Pets

Whether you're going away on a trip or simply need somewhere for your pets to play while you're busy during the day, rely on Royalton Kennels to provide excellent care for your dog, cat, or other household pet!

As the largest runs in Louisville, our 19-foot-long runs offer plenty of room for small or large dogs. Our presidential suites are 8' wide and 19' long, so overnight stays are comfortable for even the biggest breeds.

Some parts of our kennel have indoor and outdoor runs with big grass areas and a gravel play yard, so dogs are free to go in and out as they please. This is rare because any kennels in the area built after 1990 aren't able to have outdoor runs. Because of our unique features, we're trusted with airport police dogs!

Drop-off daycare is available at the same rate as our boarding service, so you can provide your dog with a safe space to have fun while you're busy. Please note, you must provide vaccination records or have your vet send us records before we accept your pet at our facility.

Pricing Information

Reservations, Deposits, and Refunds

Reservations are recommended, but we will not charge you for days not used if you decide to come back early from your vacation. A $50 holiday deposit is required for spring break, Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Christmas, and Thanksgiving.


You can check in between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm Monday - Friday. Saturday check-in time is between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. We charge for the day that your pet is dropped off. Any check-outs after 10:00 am will incur boarding charges for that day.


Dog Boarding

 ($5 Discount for multiple Dogs!)

  • Dog less than 20 lbs: $30/day
  • 2nd dog (less than 20 lbs ) sharing the same run will receive a $5 discount
  • 3rd dog (less than 20 lbs ) sharing the same run will receive a $5 discount
  • One dog 20 - 59 lbs: $33/day
  • 2nd dog (20 – 59 lbs) sharing the same run will receive a $5 discount
  • 3rd dog (20 – 59 lbs) sharing the same run will receive a $5 discount
  • One dog 60 - 99 lbs: $37/day
  • 2nd dog (60 – 99 lbs) sharing the same run will receive a $5 discount
  • 3rd dog (60 – 99 lbs) sharing the same run will receive a $5 discount
  • One dog over 100 lbs: $45/day
  • 2nd dog (over 100 lbs) sharing the same run will receive a $5 discount
  • 3rd dog (over 100 lbs) sharing the same run will receive a $5 discount
  • Presidential Suites (dogs of any size)
  • One dog: $50/day
  • Two dogs: $75for 2 dogs in the same suite
  • Three dogs: $105 for 3 dogs in the same suite
  • Four dogs: $125 for 4 dogs in the same suite

Extras

Upon checking in at Royalton Kennels, you can add-on extra services to be given on every day or just certain days of your pet's stay with us. We can assist with whatever you want for your dog while you're away, and even provide grooming sessions if you request!

 

  • 15-Minute Playtime Sessions - individual play sessions tailored to your dog's breed and personality, with lots of things to play with, including toys, tennis ball launches, and frisbees
  • One dog: $5 for playtime
  • Two dogs: $8 for 2 dogs for playtime 
  • Three dogs: $11 for 3 dogs for playtime 
  • Frosty Treats - frozen, non-fat yogurt that dogs love
  • One scoop: $1
  • Peanut Busters - p eanut butter in Kong toys
  • Small: $2
  • Medium: $2.50

We have a number of items for sale in our office to ensure your pet is comfortable boarding with us, including plush toys and rawhide bones.

Learn More About Our Dog Schedule

Both daycare and boarding drop-offs are available all day within our business hours. 

Dogs are fed at 8:00 am and 4pm and kennels are cleaned daily while the dogs are out. Our facilities are kept clean as our owner is a retired nurse. Any mess found throughout the day is cleaned promptly.

Puppies are fed  3 (three) times a day.

Dogs run outside for a bit before coming back inside at 8:00 am, 12:00 noon, 3:00 pm, and 6:00 pm. This allows time for kennels to be checked and cleaned as needed.
